How to Use the Recurring Gift Option with Stripe

Stripe does not require anything to be set up from their side to accept Recurring Gifts into Eleo.

Subscriptions in Stripe are Recurring Gift Accounts in Eleo and will automatically charge each contact’s billing method at midnight on their payment day. Eleo pulls these transactions and allows the user to create gifts from them.

The Recurring Gift option is available for Donation Web Forms. Create a new Web Form or edit one and

set ‘Allow Recurring Donations’ to YES.

This is all you have to do to start accepting recurring donations. The option of ‘One Time’ or ‘Recurring’

will display on your form under the donation field. If the user chooses ‘Recurring’ they will be required

to choose from the list of frequency options.

When recurring billing is enabled, you can also use the field ‘Frequency’ in the confirmation and email text.

Recurring Gift Web Form records are processed exactly the same as one-time records. The details for the record will display the subscription if one was created. When these records are processed, they willcreate a Recurring Gift Account linked to that Stripe subscription. We recommend reviewing the guide in the Eleo Library titled ‘How to Process Recurring Gifts Using Stripe’ too.
