Contact Search vs. List

In Eleo, you can do a contact search, or you can create a list. A contact search is a dynamic search of ALL information in the database that you would need to run every time information changed, where as a list can be saved and run several times as information changes.

For example: say you wanted to see everyone in your database from a particular state.

1. You can do a contact search by hovering over Contacts and then clicking Search Contacts.

2. Click on the + sign to open up the contact filters. Then fill out the state you are searching for and click the ‘Search’ button on the bottom of that section.

3. All records that have an address in NJ will be displayed.

NOTE: Since this is an overall database search, if someone has multiple addresses and one of them is NJ, they will show up on this list. However, it will display their primary address which may be a different state on this screen.

4. You can then save that information by exporting it in either PDF, Excel, or CSV format.

5. OR you can create a list to locate the people that live in NJ as an example. Hover over Lists and then click on ‘Add List’.

6. Give your list a name and add a filter. Once you are done, first save the filter on the bottom left and then save the whole list on the top right.

7. Once your list is saved you can download it to a PDF, Excel, or CSV file.

NOTE: Lists pull primary addresses only!
