How to Track a Raffle in the Event Module

If you would like to track a raffle in Eleo, you may do so using the Event Module. A basket raffle, otherwise known as a ‘Tricky Tray’ or ‘penny sale’, is one frequently used for fundraising games. You will often see this used to attract donors that may only be able to donate a small amount. Donors that appreciate contests where they have a chance to win or lose may enjoy participating in this as well. Technically, the Tricky Tray is a mixture of a silent auction and a raffle.

Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to add this as an Activity in your Event Module:

1) Navigate to your corresponding Event by going to Events > Search Events.

2) Click on your corresponding event.

Then once in your event, click on the Activities tab.

3) Click on ‘Add Activity’.

4) Enter the corresponding information for your Raffle as an activity for your Event. Please see the example below and note that all fields with a red asterisk (*) in Eleo are required.

Key:

Activity: The title of the Activity (required in Eleo).
Description: What the activity is (optional in Eleo)
Activity Type: The categorical type of the project. Corresponds with Settings > Account Settings > Lookup Tables > Event Activity Types (optional in Eleo).
Price: Your set rate for the Event Activity per each activity (optional in Eleo).
Fair Market Value: The dollar amount which was received for the goods or services of the Event Activity (optional in Eleo).
# Available: The amount of accessible Event Activities that you have available for this activity (Ex. 100 raffle tickets - optional in Eleo).
Track Attendance: You may either choose ‘Yes’ to track the attendance, or ‘No’ to opt out of tracking attendance for the corresponding Event Activity.
Restrict Quantity Sold: You may either choose ‘Yes’ to limit the amount of this Event Activity sold, or you may select ‘No’ to allow endless amounts of this Event Activity to be sold.

5) Then click on Save in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. You have now successfully tracked your raffle as an Event Activity in the Event Module within your Eleo database.
