How to Create a Custom Report
Eleo has a Contact Report Writer and a Gift Report Writer that you can use to create an Excel report with information that may not be found in one of our Standard Reports. The only difference between the two is that the Contact Report Writer only includes contact fields, while the Gift Report Writer includes both contact and gift ones. The Grant Report Writer includes the available grant fields and can be created with these steps too.
(***PLEASE NOTE: The Gift Report Writer is designed to show ALL gift transactions - so if Joe Smith gave three donations in the time frame that you selected, he will show up three times along with those three gifts).
In this example we will use the Gift Report Writer.
1) Go to Reports > Report Writers > Gift Report Writer.
2) Add your filter and press ‘Save’.
3) Select the fields that you would like included in this file. Then, click on ‘Add’ in the middle and it will move them to the column on the right. You can then use the buttons on the far right if you would like to re-order the fields.
4) Once you have the fields listed the way that you would like, on the top right-hand side you can ‘Save’ the report for a later time, display it on the screen, or export it into an Excel file.
Display will allow you to view the information on the screen in Eleo like this:
OR by clicking on Excel, it will allow you to print the report in it.
