How to Send an Individual Gift to QuickBooks
There are two ways to send gift information to QuickBooks in Eleo. This will go over the steps to send an individual gift, but if you would like to see how to send multiple gifts to QuickBooks at one time, please see the ‘How to Send Gifts to QuickBooks’ guide.
1. Enter the gift into Eleo, or if you have already entered it, search for the gift and open that record. You should see the ‘QuickBooks’ section toward the bottom of the screen.
2. You have the option to not automatically include this gift when sending bulk records to QuickBooks by selecting the ‘Do not automatically include this gift when sending to QuickBooks’ checkbox.
3. If you do not see the above, it is possible that your screen looks like this. This is because the contact is not currently linked to QuickBooks. You will first need to link the contact. See the ‘How to Link an Individual Contact to QuickBooks’ in the Library if you need help with this.
4. Another possible screen you may see is this. This means that you have selected a Fund for this gift that is not currently connected to a QuickBooks account. You will first need to connect it under QuickBooks > Settings.
5. If you are ready to send the single gift over to QuickBooks, click on the ‘Send Now’ button.
6. Eleo will ask you to confirm that you want to send this gift to QuickBooks, if so, then press ‘OK’.
7. It may take a moment and then you should receive a confirmation message letting you know the gift was successfully sent.
8. You will also see that the QuickBooks section on the Gift Record reflects the date that this gift was sent to QuickBooks.
