How to Link an Individual Contact to QuickBooks
1. Go to Contacts > Search Contacts, locate the contact that you would like to link to QuickBooks, and click on the contact’s name.
2. Click on ‘Edit’ in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Locate the QuickBooks section on the right-hand side next to the photo box. Click on the ‘Link’ button.
4. This screen has some options:
• ‘Create New’ will create a new QuickBooks contact using this Eleo contact’s information.
• ‘Lookup Existing QuickBooks Contacts’ allows you to search for an existing QuickBooks contact to match this Eleo contact to.
• The contacts listed on the bottom of this screen are the contacts in QuickBooks that are not currently linked to any Eleo contacts. Clicking on a name in this list will link this Eleo contact to that contact in QuickBooks.
5. Once you have chosen your appropriate option, you will see that this contact now has a ‘LinkedTo’ name filled in, which means that they are linked to QuickBooks. If you chose the incorrect contact, you may click ‘Edit Link’, and select someone else.
6. You also will see an option that says ‘Do not automatically update this contact in QuickBooks’. You may check this if you do not want this contact to be included in the bulk updates to QuickBooks.
7. If you leave it unchecked, and then click on the blue and white arrow to expand the saved contact record, you will see that this record WILL be included in QuickBooks updates.
