How to Create a Thank You Letter from the Gift Screen

1. You will need to have a template created before you can send a mailing. Please see the help documents for creating a template if needed.

2. Open up the gift record that you would like to send a thank you to by going to Gifts > Gifts> Search Gifts.

3. Filter if needed, and then select the gift that you would like to thank.

4. You must check off the ‘Send Thank You’ check box when creating the gift and then you will see the blue ‘Create Thank You’ link. Click on that.

5. You will need to select the type of export that you wish to send, and then choose the template that you want to use. Next, select ‘Download’.

6. If you chose ‘Letter’, it may look something similar to this example, which you would then printout and mail.
